Syria Wins Two Bronze Medals in International Informatics Olympiad in Azerbaijan

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The Syrian team participating in the International Informatics Olympiad in Azerbaijan has won two bronze medals. Teams from 87 countries took part in the competitions which concluded on Saturday.

Students Ahmad Mohammad Munther Haidar from Damascus and Mohammad Nour Mohammad Khaldoun al-Masri  from Aleppo got the bronze for their distinguished performance, according to Syria’s Creativity and Distinction Agency.

 By this achievement, Syria ranked 41 among the 87 participating countries and surpassed in the competition’s overall ranking big countries, including Britain, Spain, Switzerland and Denmark as well as all the participating Arab countries.
