Cabinet approves executive mechanism of e-payment project

During a weekly session chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis the Cabinet approved the recommendations of the First National Conference for Housing which covers preparing plots for construction, funding methods, institutional framework, housing legislation, the role of the private sector, and regional planning.

The Cabinet also discussed a draft decree to create the “Syrian Bakery Establishment” to control all food rationing as the most important pillars of food security one that complements the process of restructuring the institutions and companies affiliated to the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection.

The cabinet asked the Ministry of Industry to expand the establishment of water mobilization units in all the Syrian governorates including the best investment of water corresponding to the specifications of this industry. Also, the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection was asked to ensure the safety of the refills in the markets.

The cabinet called on service ministries to be fully prepared to provide basic services to citizens during the Eid al-Adha holiday and to adjust the markets and ensure the availability of goods at the right prices.

In this regard, the Director General of the Syrian Trading Establishment stated that the Corporation has introduced a wide variety of various essential foodstuffs in all establishment centers with good quality and prices suitable for the citizen.

With emphasis that the price of goods in institutions, especially rice and sugar is reasonable. He also confirmed that about seven centers were opened for the sale of meat and fish at a price lower than the market.

 Bread also will be available in all the centers. Also more attention will be given  to the way   vegetables and fruits are arranged.
