Israel’s Demolition of Palestinian Homes Is in Line with So-Called “Deal of the Century”: Nasrallah

BEIRUT, (ST)- Secretary General  of the Lebanese resistance movement Hizbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, has condemned Israel’s recent demolition of Palestinian homes in occupied al-Quds.

In a televised speech on Friday, Nasrallah said Israel’s demolition of about 70 homes in 10 apartment buildings in Sur Bahir neighborhood on Monday was in line with US President Donald Trump’s controversial “Deal of the Century.”

He affirmed the need that the Palestinian Authority stops the implementation of all the agreements signed with the Israeli occupation entity so as to put pressure on “Israel”.

Nasrallah denied Israeli claims that Hizbollah is using Beirut Port for weapons movement, stressing that such claims are false and are just introductory to have control over the port and to achieve what the Israelis couldn’t achieve in July aggression.

On the situation of Palestinian workers in Lebanon, Nasrallah said that “concerning the employment of foreign citizens in Lebanon, we have always stated that Palestinians are different from foreign workers as the latter have home countries to return to, but Palestinians don’t. Palestine is under Israeli occupation indeed,” Nasrallah added.

He called on Lebanese political factions to look at the issue of Palestinian refugees working in the country from a humanitarian perspective.

Hizbollah Secretary General dismissed claims that the Lebanese resistance movement is exerting control over the Lebanese government, emphasizing that such lies are aimed at inciting public opinion and plunging Lebanon into turmoil.

“In Lebanon, some people try to portray Hezbollah as the leader of the country and in control of all state institutions. I tell you this is the biggest lie in the history of Lebanon,” Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said.
