Syrian Arab army tightens its grip on terrorist groups

PROVINCES,(ST)_The armed forces imposes control over al-Qesa town in the Eastern Ghouta outside Damascus amid reports of targeting suspension bridge in Der Ezzour province by terrorists’ rockets.

All hideouts of the terrorists in the town (al-Qesa) have been destroyed by the armed forces, SANA reported, adding: “Nine days ago, security was restored to al-Etaiba town, east al-Qesa town, which was a center for the terrorists coming from Jordan to the Eastern Ghouta.”    

 Actually, the army tightens its grip on the terrorist groups inside the Eastern Ghouta as it captures the area liking Damascus International Airport to al-Dmir area.

As the army advances in several areas in Damascus countryside and Homs Province, terrorists fired today (Thursday) rockets and mortars on Der Ezzour suspension bridge, which is one of the great ruins in Syria, causing serious damages in it. 

The armed forces targeted several hideouts of terrorists in Der Ezzour province.

Damascus countryside

They also destroyed mortars and hideouts of terrorists outside the capital and in the north provinces while intense fighting broke out elsewhere.

In Doma district outside Damascus, a unit of armed forces shelled 15 shops in the industrial area as they were used by terrorists to produce explosive devices and mortar shells.

While, other units of armed forces clashed with terrorist groups in Jobar, Barzeh and Harasta districts, killing and injuring a lot of the groups’ members (most of them affiliates to al-Nusra Front), according to military and official sources.

North provinces

In the north provinces, the armed forces destroyed three mortars and heavy machine guns and killed unknown number of terrorists in the surrounding of Abo al-Dohor airport in Idleb countryside and in Bab al-Hadid area in Aleppo city.

Two snipers are among the killed terrorists in Idleb countryside.

It was also reported that engineering units dismantled an explosive device of the weight 200kg planted by armed terrorist groups on Ariha-Jesr alshogor road.

Meanwhile, fierce clashes broke out around Salaheddin alley and al-Layramon area in Aleppo city ended in killing and injuring many of terrorists and confiscating big quantity of weapons.

Homs

In the central Homs province, the armed forces destroyed an arsenal of explosive devices and killed many terrorists in al-Khaledeyeh and al-Rastan areas.

Moreover, it was reported that a factory for producing explosive devices was discovered by a unit of armed forces in Joret al-Shayyah in the same province.

Yesterday, four explosive devices detonated when a terrorist group was planting them on Homs-Palmyra road.  All terrorist group’s members were dead.

Daraa and Banyas

In Daraa province, south the country, the armed forces confiscated big quantity of weapons and ammunitions in Kherbet Ghazaleh town and killed many al-Nusra Front-linked terrorists.

Other weapons were seized in al-Bida town in Banyas.

Units of armed forces, in addition, targeted hideouts of terrorists in different areas in Banyas provinces 

In a separate incident, a citizen was wounded in a detonation of an explosive device attached to his car in Rekneddin area in the capital.

 Syria is facing a foreign-backed war that aims to weaken the Syrian Arab army and destroy national economy to serve Israel’s interests in the region.

The US, France, Britain, Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia fund and support the terrorist groups, who perpetrate heinous crimes against citizen and destroy Syria’s infrastructure.
