Russian Cultural Center in Damascus to reopen in months, says diplomat

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Russian Ambassador in Damascus Alexander Efimov has referred to the possibility of reopening the Russian Cultural Center in Damascus before the  end of this year.

Efimov pointed out in an interview with Russian News Agency of TASS that work is being done for reopening the Russian Cultural Center in Damascus, which “has played an important role in the cultural life of the Syrian Capital, as we had to close it during the crisis.”

He went on to say that some technical steps and measures must be completed before the reopening, hoping that the Center is expected to restart activities before the end of the year.
