Alexandria Bishop: Syria Is Land of Peace

CAIRO-Bishop of Alexandria for Armenian Catholics Krikor Kousa affirmed on Monday that Syria has been and still is the land of peace and civilizations since thousands of years and it has sent messages of science and enlightenment for the whole world, according to the Syrian news Agency (SANA).

“Syria has defeated powers of darkness and evil.. it has offered martyrs for peace.. we pray for God to see Syria enjoys peace and overcomes all members of evil,” the Bishop said while meeting Bassam Darwish, Chairman of the Syrian mission in Cairo.

 Darwish, for his part, said that Syria has fought and still fights on behalf of the whole world, adding that the Syrians have been able to defeat the conspiracy which had aimed to strike its national unity.
