People of Occupied Syrian Golan Condemn Israel’s Holding of Its Government’s Meeting in Golan, Naming a Settlement after Trump

QUNEITRA, (ST)- People of occupied Syrian Golan have condemned the Israeli occupation provocative steps of holding its government’s meeting in Golan and naming a settlement after US President Donald trump.

These procedures are null and void as they violate international laws and UN Charter, the people of Golan said, stressing that these provocative steps won’t change the historical fact that Golan is a Syrian Arab land. They reiterated their right to confront all the occupation schemes.

Holding the Israeli government’s meeting in the occupied Syrian Golan desecrates the sanctity of Golan land and disregards all international resolutions which affirm that Golan is an occupied Syrian land, the people in the villages of Majdal Shams, Masaada, Baq’ata and Ein Qinyeh told SANA reporter.

Sheikh Suleiman al-Maqt, a liberated prisoner who had spent years in Israeli jails, said the new Israeli aggressive step reflects the occupation’s policy which disrespects international charters and laws, affirming that all the Israeli schemes can’t change Golan’s historical and geographical fact and its Syrian Arab identity.

These schemes are doomed to failure thanks to the steadfastness of Golan people and their adherence to their land and belongingness to motherland, Syria, Sheikh al-Maqt added.

Ali al-Younis, another liberated prisoner, said that holding the Israeli cabinet meeting in the Syrian Golan completes its provocative and expansionist policies which, to a great extent, go in line with the US policies that aim at stealing Golan resources and displacing its people.
