All Should Join Efforts to Dry up Terrorism Sources: Serbian and Antiochian Orthodox Patriarchates

BEIRUT, (ST)- Peace in the Middle East can’t be attained unless all join efforts for this purpose within the principle of co-existence among all spectra of society.

In a joint statement, the two patriarchates said that the Serbian and Antiochian Churches are praying for peace in Syria and Lebanon and for the good of all humanity, stressing that all should assume their responsibilities towards drying up sources of terrorism and reaching peaceful solutions to all crises as to help alleviate the impacts of war.

The statement urged the international community and all governments to take into consideration the fact that the terrorism hitting the East will affect all components.

The statement condemned the continuous kidnapping of the two Aleppo Archbishops Youhanna Ibrahim and Boulos Yazigi and criticized the international community’s deadly silence over this crime, calling for sparing no effort as to release them and close this file which summarizes the suffering of all kidnapped people and of all the innocent people who pay the bill of wars.
