Local, Arab , international parties and dignitaries have condemned the terrorist blast that targeted convoy of Prime Minister Dr. Wael al-Halqi in al-Mazzeh area in Damascus.
Information Minister, Omran al-Zou’bi, said the attempt of assassinating the premier, who heads the ministerial committee entrusted with implementation of the political plan to resolve the crisis on Syria, reflects frustration of those who reject the political solution.
Russia
Russia Foreign Ministry strongly denounced, in a statement issued today, the crime perpetrated by extremists and offered heartfelt condolences to martyrs’ families and wished recovery to the wounded.
“We hope that regional and international colleagues will condemn the new terrorist act took place in the Syrian capital,” the statement read.
‘ bankruptcy’
At local level, the Syrian Network for Human Rights said the crime is an evidence of bankruptcy of terrorist groups and their supporters, stressing that Syria is facing a foreign-funded war.
Several Syrian units and federations also condemned the coward attack that claimed lives of many citizens.
‘dirty attempt’
At Arab level, the Lebanese Independent Nasserate Movement, which denounced today-terrorists attack, called on Syrian oppositions to be national and back the political solution.
For his part, Head of the National Reconciliation Party in Lebanon, Belal Taqiddin, stressed that Syria will achieve victory thanks to its people and army’s unity.
The Iraqi Arab Population Committee for Supporting Syria and Resistance described that crime as a ‘dirty attempt’.
“The dirty attempt unmasks the defeat of the perpetrators and planners as a result of the Syrian Arab army’s achievements,” the committee said.
Defeaters’ hysteria
Another comment on the attack was made by the Popular Committee for Liberating Palestine- General Command- which said: “the blast comes within the framework of the defeater’s hysteria.”
While, Head of National activities in the Occupied Palestinian territories, Sheikh Salman Antir, underscored that the criminal acts being perpetrated by terrorists in Syria serve the Zionist entity.
