Stability in Syria Would Help Displaced Syrians Return Home as Soon as Possible: Czech Top Diplomat

BRATISLAVA, (ST)- Restoring stability to Syria would help the displaced Syrians, who left their country because of terrorism, return to their original areas of residence as soon as possible, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Tomáš Petříček said in a statement to journalists in Bratislava following a meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Visegrad Group and the foreign minister of the Turkish regime.

The Czech top diplomat reiterated his country’s support for political solution of the crisis in Syria, stressing the need to preserve the country’s territorial integrity.

Visegrad Group, or V4 is a cultural and political alliance of four Central European states – the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.

Last March, the Czech Prime Minster Andrej Babiš affirmed that it is Europe’s interest to resolve the crisis in Syria and having security and stability restored to the country in order to enable the displaced Syrians return home.
