Al-Moallem Affirms Continuous Coordination with Iran
TEHRAN, (ST)-Deputy Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Walid al-Moallem has stressed that there is continuous coordination between Syria and the Islamic Republic of Iran on all issues, hailing Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif’s recent visit to Syria.
“The visit was made at the right time to deepen bilateral relations between the two countries,” al-Moallem told Tasmin News Agency, pointing out that Zarif’s meeting with President Bashar Al-Assad was “constructive and fruitful”.
On the recent decision by US President Donald Trump to blacklist Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), al-Moallem condemned the decision and said that Trump takes decisions only in favor of the Israeli entity.
“Trump knows nothing about the law, the geography or the situation in the region and he makes decisions only in favor of Israel,” al-Moallem said.
