Aoun: Trump’s Declaration on Occupied Syrian Golan a Flagrant Violation of International Law Principles

BEIRUT, (ST)- President Michel Aoun of Lebanon has reaffirmed his condemnation of US President Donald Trump’s Declaration on occupied Syrian Golan.

In a press conference with his Bulgarian counterpart Rumin Radev, Aoun said the declaration is a flagrant violation of the principles of International Law and conventions.

“The US declaration on the Syrian Golan also threatens the sovereignty of  Lebanon whose lands in Sheb’a Farms, Kfar Shouba and al-Ghajar are still occupied by Israel,” Presdient Aoun added.

He stressed the importance of Bulgaria’s support for Lebanon in the confrontation of the Israeli repeated attacks, reiterating the need to implement international Resolution No. 1701.
