TEHRAN, (ST)- Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has reaffirmed that occupied Golan is an integral part of the Syrian Arab Republic territory.
In a press conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, who is currently visiting Tehran, Rouhani said that he and the Iraqi premier, during their talks, reiterated that Golan is part and parcel of Syria and that al-Quds is the capital of the Palestinian state. The two sides also affirmed that the only solution of the crisis in Yemen is a political one, he added.
On his part, Abdul Mahdi stressed the deep relations between Iran and Iraq and affirmed the need to enhance cooperation in all domains. He reiterated the determination of the two countries to stand against any threat in the region.

Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi is in Iran for his first official visit since he took office, in a further sign that Baghdad is serious about maintaining close ties with Tehran despite US pressures.
Czech Peace Movement: Trump’s Golan Declaration Shameful Step by American Imperialism
Meanwhile in Prague, Chairman of the Czech Peace Movement Milan Krajca described US President Donald Trump’s declaration on the occupied Syrian Golan, in which he recognized “Israel’s sovereignty” over Golan, as a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and the principles of the International Law.
Krajca told SANA correspondent in Prague that Trump’s declaration contradicts the Security Council Resolutions mainly Resolution No. 497 and it is “a new shameful step” by the American imperialism targeting Syria and its people.
He expressed the Czech Peace Movement’s full solidarity with Syria in defense of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
