GWU have vital role in consolidating dialogue, says al-Halqi

DAMASCUS, (ST) – “the popular organizations have a vital role boosting dialogue in the society  especially the role of the General Women’s role,”said Prime Minister al-Halqi.

Al-Halqi’s remark came during a meeting on Wednesday with members of the executive bureau of the GWU delegation headed by Chairperson of the Union Majeda Quteit in the presence of  The ministerial committee which entrusted with materializing  the political program for resolving the crisis in Syria.

Premier al-Halqi ,chairman of the committee briefed his guests on  the steps taken by the Committee and the meetings it held in order to prepare an appropriate condition  for making the upcoming dialogue conference a success..

For her part,, Quteit underscored the GWU ‘s support for the government in its efforts to restore security and stability and rebuild Syria.

The GWU Members of the executive bureau made their visions for the upcoming dialogue conference concerning  the need to develop legislations which concern women’s issues such protecting  their rights, expanding the  social security to include families of martyrs, and providing support for people affected by the current events, in addition to enlisting the Union in the national reconciliation programs.
