NEW YORK- The United Nations stressed on Wednesday that its stance regarding the occupied Syrian Golan is based on resolutions of UN Security council and General Assembly.
According to SANA, UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo said at a UN Security council session that the UN will continue its work based on full respect for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
RT reported that DiCarlo had clarified that the US President’s proclamation on Golan would lead to escalating tension in the region.
