Czech PM: The European Interest is to Prevail Security in Syria

Prague – The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babis stressed that it is in Europe’s interest to resolve the crisis in Syria and that security and stability prevail in order to enable the Syrians displaced Syrians to return to their homeland.

“The situation in Syria must be resolved and the war should end and the reconstruction process begins and the people return to their homes. This requires cooperation with the Syrian government,” Babis told Czech daily Leidovi Novini.

Mr. Babis pointed out that he raised the issue of the situation in Syria during his recent talks with US President Donald Trump in the White House because he is interested in humanitarian terms.

He said that Prague could be the perfect place to host a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin to hold talks on resolving the crisis in Syria.

Mr. Babis announced last November that his country intends to coordinate with the Syrian government the establishment of a home for orphans in Syria, which includes a nursery, a school, a playground and a residence for 150 children.
