Record of conspiracies

The unholy role played by Britain in the Arab region has been known to everyone. At the beginning of the 20th century, Britain, in cooperation with France, tried to inherit the weak Ottoman empire through signing the Sykes-Picot Agreement through which they divided the Arab states between them as if they were inheritance.

On 28th June 1919, the League of Nations issued the mandates for Ottoman Mesopotamia and Ottoman Syria between Britain and France, with the former taking control over modern day Iraq and Palestine and the latter taking control over the regions of Syria and Lebanon.

Another sinister and unholy role played by Britain was the issuance of Balfour Declaration on November 2nd, 1917 through which it pledged to give a national homeland for the Jews in Palestine.  Arthur Balfour, the then British Foreign Secretary, said the British government viewed “with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people”, and would use its “best endeavors to facilitate the achievement of this object”. The Hungarian-born Jewish writer Arthur Koestler  described this ominous declaration:  One nation solemnly promised to a second nation the country of a third.” It had no moral or legal right to do so. The declaration contradicted Britain’s previous promise of “complete and final liberation” for the Arabs if they rose up against their Ottoman occupiers.

The British occupation forces facilitated the work of the so-called the Jewish Agency which worked as a government within a government confiscating vast areas of the Palestinian lands and building settlement units to absorb the influx of thousands of Jewish settlers who were encouraged to leave Europe and other world states and come to Palestine. Some British colonialist thinkers have argued that supporting Zionist immigration could be seen as ‘an extension of Western Civilization.

The conspiratorial British role has continued over the past 100 years, especially in supporting the Israeli forces of occupation and hatching conspiracies against the struggle of the Arab people and their just causes, especially the Arab resistance against Israeli forces of occupation.  The British government’s decision to put Hezbollah on list of terrorist organizations confirms Britain’s deep-seated historical hostility against the Arab nation, as Britain is the godfather of fragmenting the Arab nation through the Sykes–Picot Agreement, and is also responsible for the ominous Balfour Declaration that led to Palestine being usurped by Zionists and to displacing millions of Palestinians.

Britain has also been a constant and main partner in all forms of aggression against the Arab nation, beginning with the tripartite aggression on Egypt, and most recently taking part in the tripartite Western aggression on Syria in April 2018, which showed Britain subservience to the US colonialist project in the region.

It’s well-known to everyone that Britain harbors various extremist Takfiri organizations, and it has and still does offer various types of support to terrorist groups in service of Israel’s agenda against the Arab nation.

Those who follow such policies are devoid of credibility, and have no right to level accusations against anyone, particularly against Hezbollah which is a legitimate national resistance movement against the Israeli occupation, and its legitimacy is guaranteed by international law and the UN Charter, not by an unfair decision made by a country with a dark history of occupation and enslaving people and usurping their rights.

The British decision is strongly condemned because Hezbollah is a resistance movement against Israeli occupation. Nothing would stop Hezbollah from defending the country’s independence and freedom from Israeli greed in Lebanon’s land, resources and territorial waters.

The  move shows Britain’s submissive obedience to the United States and the destructive policy which has been adopted by the US President Donald Trump since the beginning of his term.

The British government, in this decision, insulted the sentiments and the free will of the Arab Lebanese people, who consider Hezbollah as a political and popular force  that is defending the Lebanese people and territories against Israel.

UK’s Labour Party has voiced its official objection to the move by the British Home Secretary Sajid Javid to have Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah banned as a terrorist organization.

The Israeli regime quickly welcomed  the British move with Israeli ”Security” Minister ,Gilad Erdan, saying in a tweet that the European Union, which unlike the United States has opposed designation of Hezbollah as terrorist entity, should follow suit.

Arab and Lebanese people are confident that the British sinister move would not affect the unceasing and tireless struggling march of Hezbollah.
