Foreign Ministry: US, Britain and France Aren’t Invited to Participate in Syria Reconstruction

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has condemned the joint statement recently issued by the United States, Britain and France on Syria, stressing that these countries are fully responsible for the bloodshed that has been taking place in Syria and other countries of the region.

A official source at the ministry told SANA on Sunday that the joint statement is a historical document of lies, hypocrisy, deception, and falsification.

On Friday, the three countries plus Germany declared that they will not be participating in Syria’s reconstruction as long as it is led by President Bashar al-Assad.

The source affirmed that these countries are not in the first place invited to take part in reconstruction in Syria, but they should pay compensations for the killing and destruction caused by their heinous crimes.

 Developments in Syria and other countries in the region are the results of a US-led western conspiracy to revive the colonialist history, to control the region’s countries and dominate their resources and to enable Israel to have the upper hand in this region, the source said.

It concluded by saying that the steadfast Syrian people and brave army, which have been heroically facing a terrorist aggression and western arrogant and hegemony policies, are now more determined to completely defeat the Western scheme and preserve Syria‘s unity and independent decision.
