Israeli Occupation Pounds Gaza with Wave of Airstrikes

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, (ST)-The Israeli occupation forces at night on Thursday conducted a series of airstrikes against the Palestinian besieged strip of Gaza, claiming that the attack was in response to alleged firing of rockets from Gaza.

The airstrikes targeted the new port to the west of Khan Younis city in the south of Gaza in addition to Beit Lahia, according to Wafa news agency.

The occupation warplanes continued to heavily flying over the strip, the agency said.

Earlier on Thursday, media outlets reported that three rockets fell in Gush Dan Israeli settlement near “Tel Aviv” in occupied Palestine.

The occupation authorities opened public shelters after several settlers were injured. A state of panic was prevailed among the settlers following the rockets blasts and after sirens were heard in Tel Aviv.

The so-called “Iron Dome” missile system was activated but apparently failed to intercept any of the missiles, according to Press TV.

The Israeli military confirmed the news but tried to pass off the interception failure and it claimed that the rockets were fired from Gaza, a claim that was denied by the Palestinian side.
