Mortar shells kill 2 citizens in Barzeh district

DAMASCUS,(ST)_At least two citizens have been martyred and 13 others wounded by terrorist attacks on four districts in Damascus and  its countryside.

An official source at the Police Leadership told SANA that a mortar shell landed near the “7 Nisan” School in Barzeh district in Damascus causing martyrdom of two young men and wounding other 8 citizens, including 5 children aged 4-10.

In addition, the terrorist attack left serious damages at the scene.

Another residential alley in Barzeh district was also targeted by two mortar shells.

The first shell landed on a home in al-Fern square while the other one landed near Der Mama square in Esh al-Warwar alley in the district leaving serious damages.  No one was hurt.    

In Damascus countryside, several citizens were wounded when a suicide terrorist exploded a booby-trapped car in al-Mleha town.

The car blast happened during  the rush hour.

Today morning, two mortar rounds landed in Daheyet al-Assad in Harasta district in the same province where 5 citizens were wounded.

The shells landed in surrounding of Religious School and caused damages at the scene.
