Syrian army continue advancing in Homs and Damascus countryside

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian Arab Army gradually impose full control over several sites in Damascus countryside and Homs.

In Homs, the army captured tunnels linking Lebanese border to al-Qsir area and Homs-Damascus highway.

Meanwhile, SANA reported continuity of hunting down terrorist groups in Duma, Jobar, and Harsta districts in Damascus countryside.

Several terrorists’ hideouts and weapons were destroyed and dozens of terrorists were eliminated in qualitative operations carried out by units of armed forces in the districts.

Elsewhere, units of armed forces targeted terrorist groupings in countryside of Idleb, Der Ezzour, and Lattakia, inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists.

A military source told SANA that a unit of armed forces confronted a terrorist group that tried to attack Abo al-Dohor airport in Idleb countryside, killing and injuring a lot of terrorists.

On the other hand, a quarrel broke out between the terrorist group al-Nusra Front and another group called “Bader Martyrs battalion” over sharing loot resulted in killing or injuring most of the groups’ members.

The quarrel took place inside a hideout in Mhemedeya village in Der Ezzour countryside.

Syria is in a state of war and its army is doing its duty as regard defending homeland and citizens, and fighting al-Qaeeda affiliated terrorist groups to restore stability and security across the country.

The terrorist groups, who are exported from 40 countries, perpetrate heinous crimes against citizens and destroy the country’s infrastructure, are funded and supported by Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Britain, France, and the US.
