Resolving Crisis of Displaced Syrians Necessitates Coordination with the Syrian State

BELGRADE, (ST)- Finding a solution to the displaced Syrians’ crisis necessitates full coordination with the Syrian state and complete elimination of remaining terrorism hotspots in the country, Syrian People’s Assembly Member Jamal al-Qaderi has stressed.

During the 13th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), which concluded its activities on Saturday in Belgrade, Serbia, al-Qaderi  said that the displacement crisis was caused by the crimes of terrorists who have been backed by several countries and organizations.

PAM’s Third Permanent Committee on Dialogue of Civilizations and Human Rights also reviewed its activities. During the committee’s meeting, al-Qaderi stressed the importance of coordination between the states of the North and South of the Mediterranean to achieve security and stability, particularly after the so-called “Arab Spring” had destroyed half of the economies of the Arab countries.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean Committees meetings reviewed over two days a number of draft laws on issues of priority to the Euro-Mediterranean area as well as the political and security developments in the Middle East region, in addition to draft resolutions on climate change and human rights.

Forty three countries took part in the event.
