Lattakia Enjoys Fertile Investment Environment: Deputy Tourism Minister

Syria is an important tourist country and the tourism sector is the most important gateway to other sectors.

As part of its strategic policy to revive  the tourism sector, the tourism ministry seeks tackling the uncompleted projects in Lattakia governorate very soon, especially after the recovery of the tourism sector, the increasing requirements of the job market, the provided facilitations and the availability of an attractive environment for tourism investments.

 “ Reactivating and developing the tourism sector is the top priority of the Tourism ministry’s plan for the year 2019 aiming to create an attractive investment climate through providing  new investment projects”, Eng. Ghayath Al-Farah, Deputy Tourism Minister for Investment, Development and Projects Affairs said in a statement to SANA correspondent in Lattakia.

He stressed that the tourism ministry spears no effort as to revive the investment situation in Lattakia province, work out suitable investment plans,  focus on qualifying all the tourism establishments and adopt all necessary procedures in preparation for the forthcoming tourism season.

Eng. Farah made it clear that Lattakia province enjoys fertile investment environment and is able to form an integrated tourism environment, particularly in the light of the increasing need for diversifying tourism products.

He added preparations are underway currently for holding the tourism investment market forum, due to be held next June, and it is expected to present attractive investment opportunities in different provinces.
