This deep-rooted friendship has been demonstrated in India’s support for Syria’s war on terrorism, in its rejection of foreign intervention in the Syrian state’s internal affairs and in its affirmation that political solution is the only way to end the crisis in the country.
The strength of the Syrian-Indian relations has been reflected in exchanging visits by official and economic delegations and in signing several agreements, including a memorandum of understanding in 2018 between the Federation of the Syrian Chambers of Commerce and the Federation of the Indian Industries Chambers to enhance cooperation in the areas of training and information exchange.
