Lavrov Stresses Need for Settling Crisis in Syria Based on UNSC Resolution

ALGIERS-  Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov reiterated the necessity for settling crisis in Syria , based on UN Security Council Resolution 2254, and eradicating terrorism fully, as well as the return of displaced Syrians to their homeland, according to SANA.

Lavrov’s remarks came during a press conference with his Algerian counterpart Abdelkader Messahel on Thursday in Algeria.

Lavrov said that “We agree on settling the crisis in Syria , in accordance with UNSC resolution No.2254 , and  on respecting Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”, pointing out to cooperation with the UN regarding that.
