Syrian Businessmen Delegation in UAE to Reactivate Trade, Investment Relations between Businessmen of the Two Countries

ABU DHABI, (ST)- A delegation of Syrian Businessmen on Saturday visited the city of Masdar in Abou Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to be briefed in the city’s investment experinece which ddepends entirely on solar energy and other renewable energy sources and it is considered to be the world’s first Zero-carbon city.

The delegation comprises Moahammad Hamshou, Secretary General of the Federation of the Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Samer al-Dibs, Head of the Chamber of Industry of Damascus and Damascus Countryside and a number of businessmen.

Executive Director of Masdar’s Sustainable Real Estate division Yousef Baselaib said in a statement to SANA that the Syrian delegation’s visit aimed at exchanging expertise and creating sustainable business. He hoped for more contacts with Syrian businessmen in different fileds.

Members of the Syrian delegation also talked to SANA about their visit to the UAE.

Moahammad Hamshou, whi is the head of the delegation, affirmed the visit aimed at reactivating trade and investment relations between the businessmen of Syria and their UAE’s counterparts, particularly because Syria is launching an all-out process of building and economic development.

“Syria will witness high economic growth in all domains within the coming two years,” Hamshou said.

On his part, Samer al-Dibs described the visit, which came at the invitation of the Federation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the UAE, as “very important”, noting the Federation’s great interest in establishing investment partnerships with Syrian businessmen and in taking part in industrial projects in Syria.

“Emirati businessmen are willing to carry out key investments in Syria,” al-Dibs added.

Fawaz al-Ajouz, member of Aleppo Chamber of Commerce, talked to SANA about the positive environment which prevailed in the meetings between members of the delegation and Emirati businessmen.

On Sunday, the Syrian delegation and members of the UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Indusrtry will discuss prospects of cooperation as well as investment paretnerships in the areas of industry, trade exchange, agriculture, tourism, real estate, costruction, renewable energy as well as other economic domains.
