Syria Closer than Ever to Announcing Final Victory over Terrorism

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Visits by Arab organizations and parties to Syria are very important to explain the terrorist war Syria has been facing and the crimes committed by western and regional-backed and funded terrorist organizations against the Syrians, Speaker of the People’s Assembly (PA) Hammoudah al-Sabbagh stressed during his meeting on Thursday with a delegation representing the Jordanian Construction Contractors Association (JCCA).

Sabbagh said that Syria is closer than ever to announcing a complete victoy over terrorism and its supporters. He expressed hope that cooperation between the Syrian and Jordanian syndicates will be enhanced in the era of reconstructing what terrorism has destroyed.

On his part,  Ahmad Yacoub, the syndicate’s president, affirmed that Syria and Jordan are one body and what happened to the Syrian people because of terrorism have had negative political, economic and social impacts on Jordan. He expressed hope that the relations between the two countries will restore their normal situation.

In a statament to journalists, Yacoub said the delegation was briefed on suggestions and programs regarding carrying out investment projects in Syria and it will put these suggestions forward to Jordanian investros.

He noted the formation of a joint committee between the councils of the Syrian and Jordanian contractors syndicates with the purpose of putting a framework for an agreement.

Head of the Syrian Contractors Syndiate Mohammad Ramadan, on his part, said that contacts were made with the presidency of the Arab Contractors Union with the purpose of holding the General Conference of Arab Contractors in Damascus this year.
