Prime Minister Weclomes Wide Participation by Iranian Companies in Syria Reconstruction Era

 DAMASCUS, (ST)- Prime Minister Imad Khamis has stressed that Syria highly appreciates Iran’s role in enhancing the steadfastness of the Syrian people during the years of the terrorist war waged on the country and it is lookig forward to boosting cooperation further as to implement the economic partnership agreements signed between Syria and Iran.

Khamis was speaking during his meeting on Tuesday with Head of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh and the accompanying delegation.

The two sides discussed consolidating economic cooperation in the light of the western sanctions which target the steadfastness of the peoples of the two countries. They affirmed the importance of intensifying meetings between the Iranian and Syrian public and private sectors to reactivate trade exchange and find joint investment opportunities.
Talks also dealt with the participation of Iranian companies and economic facilities in Syria’s reconstruction process.

The prime minister weclomed a wide participation by Iranian companies in the country’s reconstruction era in different investment fileds in away that increases the volume of trade exchange.

On his part, Heshmatollah said his country will continue to enhance economic cooperation with Syria and it is keen on implementing the signed agreements in addition to discussing new ones covering different domains.
He clarified that the talks he held in Syria focused on Iran’s investment in the economic and infrustructure fileds.
