Cuba Reaffirms Support for Syria in Its War on Terrorism

HAVANA, (ST)- Vice President of the Cuban Council of Ministers Ricardo Carbrisas Ruiz has reaffirmed his country’s support for Syria in its war on terrorism and expressed rejection to interference in Syria’s internal affairs.

He made the remarks during his meeting on Wednesday with Syria’s Ambassador to Cuba Idrees Mayya at the Council’s headquarters in Havana.

The two sides discussed means of enhancing bilateral ties to serve the interests of the peoples of the two countries.

 The Syrian Ambassador talked about developments in Syria in the light of the Syrian Arab army’s victories against takfiri terrorist organizations. He asserted the need to boost cooperation between Syria and Cuba at all levels.
