Deputy Defense Minister Hails Assistance Provided to Syria by Its Allies to Liberate Entire Syrian Territory from Terrorism

TEHRAN, (ST)- Syria’s Deputy Minister of Defense, General Mahmoud Shawa, has stressed that the Syrian armed forces continue their victories over enemies of the Syrian people.

During his meeting with Iran’s Defense Minister, Brigadier-General, Amir Hatami on Monday in Tehran, General Shawa hailed the assitance provided to Syria by its allies and friends to liberate the entire Syrian territory from terrorism.
Talks between the two sides focused on ways to boost bilateral ties between the two countries and on the latest developments in the region and in Syria.

In a statement to journalists, Shawa reiterated Syria’s determination to liberate all its territories from terrorism and from any illegal foreign presence.

 Shawa and Hatami met on the sidelines of the International Conference on Security in West Asia currently held in the Iranian capital.

 Hatami expressed pleasure and satisfaction over Syria’s victories over terrorism, hoping that these victories will continue”.
