KHARTOUM, (ST)- Sudan’s Prime Minister Mu’taz Mousa has stressed the importance of dialogue to surpass the crisis in his country, pointing out that Sudan is being exposed to a siege aiming at fragmenting it.
“Fragmentation scheme continues from Korea to Venezuela,” said the Sudanese Premier.
The Sudanese news Agency (SUNA) quoted Mousa as saying on Satuurday in a consultative meeting with directors of Sudanese media institutions that “the freedom of expression is a guarnteed right, but any action that comes within the framework of acts of sabbotage and chaos is rejected”.
He added that “violence and the dissemination of hatred are an immoral way of expression,” stressing that “harming the homeland is a red line”.
Mousa went on to say that the only way for the Sudanese people to get out from the political crisis is to go ahead with honest democratic elections in 2020, noting the need to accept people’s choice.
The Sudanese premier stressed that “the government is sparing no effort as to guarantee the basic rights of citizens and attian more reforms, pointing out political solution needs to be sustainable and sutisfiable and it should lead to building a stable country.”
On Friday, President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir of Sudan affirmed the need to preserve the security, stability and unity of Sudan, stressing that his country will emerge from its economic crises despite attempts to target its resources.
Sudan has recently witnessed demonstrations in several areas during which demonstrators targeted a number of institutions and government circles by sabbotage acts.
The Sudanese government affirmed that these demostrations have deviated from its peaceful track and turned into acts of sabbotage.
