Russia urges maximum objectivity on Syria events

Russia disagrees with the latest report by the UN Secretary General on sexual violence in conflicts.

Speaking at the Women, World and Security debate at the Security Council on Wednesday this country’s UN envoy Vitaly Churkin faulted the report for ignoring the numerous cases of sexual transgressions committed by the opposition representatives, which have been backed up by witness accounts, according to Voice of Russia, TASS

Churkin urged maximum objectivity when dealing with such a sensitive issue based exclusively on unbiased and trustworthy information.
