New US-Led Coalition Massacre Claims Lives of 17 Civilians in Hajin Town in Deir Ezzor

DEIR EZZOR, (ST)- A new massacre by the US-led Coalition in the town of Hajin in Deir Ezzor eastern countryside has claimed the lives of 17 civilians.

Local sources told SANA correspondent that the warplanes of the illegal international coalition purportedly against Daesh terror organization shelled people’s houses in the village of al-Boukhater, to the northeast of Hajin city. The shelling resulted in the martyrdom of 17 civilians including women and children, and caused heavy material damage to locals’ houses and properties.

Over the past few weeks, tens of civilians were martyred and many others were wounded in the coalition’s airstrikes against Hajin city and the surrounding villages. Most victims were children and women, not to mention the material damage caused to citizens’ houses.

Syria has repeatedly called on the UN Chief and President of the Security Council to immediately move as to put an end to the coalition’s crimes in Syria and to seek establishing an international independent mechanism for investigating these crimes and punishing perpetrators.

Washington alleges that the coalition it established in August, 2014 without the approval of the Security Council, aims at fighting international terrorism in Syria. However, facts show that Washington-led coalition is attacking the infrastructure in Syria and committing crimes against civilians instead of fighting terrorists.
