Russian MoD: Chemical Compound to analyze soil samples taken from toxic shell shrapnel in Aleppo

MOSCOW – Russian military experts started working on analyzing samples from soil and shrapnel of the shells fired by the terrorists on residential neighborhoods in Aleppo city last Saturday, causing dozens of suffocation cases, according to  SANA.

Head of radiation, chemical and biological protection of the Russian Forces in Syria, Major-General Valery Vasiliev said that a mobile compound started to analyze samples of soil and parts of shells fired by the terrorists on Aleppo city.

 Vasiliev noted that the task of the mobile compound is to identify the of the composition of toxic substances stuffed into the shells fired by terrorists on the residential areas, clarifying that experts from the Russian Protection Forces are working on analyzing the samples from buildings and shrapnel of the shells as it could identify some 8000 chemical substances.
