Gold, bronze medals for Damascus team in 3rd Arab tournament of special sports

Beirut – Damascus team for special sports of the wheelchair basketball game won the bronze medal in the third Arab tournament currently held in the Lebanese city of Byblos, SANA reported.

The Damascus team beat its Lebanese counterpart  34/32, while the Iraqi team won the gold medal after defeating  Jordan 56/18 points.

Damascus team included players  Yazan Safia, Rami Mubarak, Laith Al-Mubaid, Ali Karem, Majed Al-Munajjid, Samer Sawan, Abdul-Aziz Sawan and Adel Al-Masri.

In the ping pong game Player of our team Khaled Mohieddin won the gold medal and the bronze one went to Ammar Kholousi.

Wheelchair basketball is a sport played primarily by people with physical disabilities.
