DPRK voiced Support for Syria

PYONGYANG,(ST)_  Foreign Minister of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea DPRK Pak Ui Choi stressed absolute support for Syria’s just cause in defense of its people, security and sovereignty against the USA and its hirelings.

Choi said during a meeting with the Syrian Chargé d’ affaires at the Syrian Embassy in Pyongyang Haitham Saad and Cuban Ambassador Herman Alvarez: “We are confident that these plots no matter how big  will be defeated  in Damascus because the Syrian people stand behind their wise leadership,” stressing DPRK stand with Syria at all times.

Concerning  the situation in the Korean peninsula Choi pointed the US   and South Korea’s policy of pressure, sanctions and the threat of war , crystallized  in sending aircraft carriers and nuclear weapons to the region.

He continued that the tense situation in the Korean peninsula is caused by the U.S. hostile policy of the threat of war and that DPRK will retaliate strongly, more than they expect.
