More Than 2000 Displaced Syrians Return Home from Jordan across Nassib Border Crossing

DARAA, (ST)- More than 2000 people, displaced because of terrorism in Syria, have returned to their homeland coming from Jordan across the Nassib border crossing after facilitations were provided by the Syrian embassy in Amman.

Head of the Immigration and Passports Center at Nassib Crossing Mazen Ghandour said in a statement to SANA correspondent that since its opening a month ago,  the center has received 2380 Syrian citizens who carry no official documents, but only temporary tickets given to them by the Syrian Embassy in Jordan to facilitate their return to their homeland.

 Ghandour pointed out that hundreds of Syrians, who left Syria to Jordan across illegal crossings fleeing terrorism, and who lost their documents, have returned to Syria with the help of government facilitations and they are expected to get new documents.

In a relevant context, Ghandour said that 300 persons who are wanted for military service and who have returned to Syria across Nassib border crossing to benefit from the amnesty decree, have got their legal status settled.
