SARC Team Carries out Vaccination Campaign Targeting Syrian Children in al-Rukban Camp

HOMS, (ST)- A medical team from the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) has carried out a vaccination campaign targeting Syrian children staying in al-Rukban Camp in al-Tanf area near the Syrian-Jordanian borders where US occupation forces are deployed and keep hindering the delivery of humanitarian aid and preventing the displaced Syrians from leaving the camp.

In a statement, SARC said a medical team of 21 specialists has been carrying out a wide vaccination campaign in al-Rukban camp near the Syrian-Jordanian borders over the past two days to immunize the children there against Measles, polio, hepatitis and Tuberculosis.

 Last Saturday, the Syrian government facilitated the delivery of humanitarian aid conveyed by SARC and the United Nations to thousands of displaced Syrians staying in the al-Rukban camp. The aid convoy consisted of 78 trucks loaded with relief items containing 10, 475 food baskets, bags of flour, 18,000 children clothes’ baskets, 10075 personal cleanliness kits, 1,200 baskets for the newborn, in addition to medicine, medical equipment and food supplements for children and women.

The Syrian government is keen on providing necessary facilitations to guarantee the delivery of aid to those who need and to the people affected by the terrorist war on Syria in different areas without exceptions.
