MoU Signed between the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce and its Indonesian Counterpart

Jakarta-A delegation from the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce and the Federation of Indonesian Chambers of Commerce and Industry signed on Monday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral relations.

The memo, signed on the sidelines of the Expo 33, concluded on Sunday to prepare the foundations for the development of trade relations between Syria and Indonesia through exchanging visits between businessmen in both countries and exploring opportunities.

 The signing of the memo was preceded by a session of talks between the two sides during which the head of the delegation of the Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Faisal Seif, underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation and trade exchange and inviting businessmen in Indonesia to participate in the reconstruction process witnessed by Syria.

The delegation met with Minister Alawi Shihab, Special Envoy of the Indonesian President, who expressed his appreciation to the Syrian leadership, government and people and the desire to visit Syria with a delegation of Indonesian businessmen.

During the meeting, they discussed boosting the trade exchange between the two countries through increasing the import of Syrian agricultural products and the products that Syria enjoys.

The delegation of the Syrian Chambers of Commerce participated in Indonesia’s Expo 33, the largest exhibition in Indonesia, to see the trade and investment opportunities offered by the exhibition, which is attended by more than 1,100 Indonesian companies exhibiting the latest and latest Indonesian products.

The visit was attended by Chairman of Daraa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kassem Al-Masalma, and Chairman of Quneitra Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mofid Mashfaj, and a number of members of the boards of directors of Chambers of Commerce and businessmen.
