Al-Jaafari: Israeli Occupation of Arab Territories Main Reason behind Destabilization in the Region

NEW YORK-Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari, said on Thursday that the Israeli occupation of the Arab lands is the main reason behind destabilization in the region and the UNSC has to move to end this occupation, according to SANA.

“Syria renews its firm stance in support of the Palestinian people’s right of self-determination and the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital,” al-Jaafari added in a speech on the status in the Middle East, SANA said.

Al-Jaafari stressed that “Israel” still occupies the Syrian Golan where the Syrian citizens suffers from the Israeli hostile and repressive practices that reached the limit to protect the terrorist organizations in Syria through offering them full support.

He went on to say that the Israeli aggression on Syria is clear evidence that Israel moved into a new phase of practicing terrorism, in addition to smuggling members of the so-called “the white helmets” to the states that sponsored them.
