Bilateral Relations between Syria and Crimea Bolstered

 

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad received here today President of the Crimean Republic Sergei Aksyonov, who is visiting Syria presiding over a high-level delegation.

President Assad congratulated  the Crimean people and leadership over fulfilling their own will of returning to the homeland of the Russian Federation.

President Assad outlined that this visit constitutes a good start for building relations of cooperation between the two sides in various fields, given the fact  that the two countries enjoy a distinguished geographical  position on the Black and Mediterranean seas.

President  Aksyonov expressed his pleasure over visiting Syria and working on boosting bilateral relations in the interest of the peoples of Syria and Crimea, who have struggled for defending their homelands and their independent will.

The meeting touched upon the measures as to build strong bilateral relations, a joint trading house and a joint sea transportation company, exchanging, launching  direct flights between the two countries and exchanging visits between businessmen, setting up plans for culture exchange.
