Iran Stronger than Ever, Says IRGC General

The deputy chief of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) highlighted Iran’s might and said the country has defeated all hostile plots, including the economic pressures.

In comments on Thursday, IRGC Lieutenant Commander Brigadier General Hossein Salami said the enemies of Iran might look powerful, but they are rusty and worn inside and are at low ebb.

“We are stronger than ever,” he stressed, adding that the enemy’s last resort after the failure of its political plans was economic pressure, which has also failed after strong resistance from the Iranian nation.

The commander also described US President Donald Trump’s assertion that Iran could take control of the Middle East in just 12 minutes as a testimony to Iran’s power, saying though that Iran is never going to occupy the Middle East and that it has already challenged the enemy’s military and political policies through the Islamic Revolution’s regional and international clout.

In March 2017, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei described Iran’s strategic depth in the world, especially in the region, as a major accomplishment which has enraged the US.

“Iran’s growing influence and nations’ support for the Islamic Establishment are our solid backbone and this fact has angered the Americans and made their analysts look for ways to counter Iran’s rising influence,” Ayatollah Khamenei said at the time.

IRGC Chief: Zionist Regime Nearing Its End

On the other hand,Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) reaffirmed support for the battle against the Zionist regime of Israel, which he said is moving closer to its end.

In a message to Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, IRGC Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari

offered his condolences over death of Aminah Salameh, mother of three Lebanese martyrs of the axis of resistance, including Imad Mughniyah.

Paying tribute to the revered mother of Mughniyah and all members of the anti-Israeli resistance movement, the Iranian general reasserted the IRGC’s pledge of support for the battle against the Zionist regime of Israel until the termination of such “an epitome of evil and crime”.

General Jafari added that the Israeli regime is getting closer and closer to its collapse.

In November last year, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei described the battle against the Zionist regime of Israel as a “sacred” one and a collective responsibility of the entire Muslim world, recommending efforts to diversify the continued fight against Tel Aviv.
