Syrian, Iranian Businessmen to Establish Productive Partnerships and Investment Cooperation

Damascus- On the sidelines of the Reconstruction Exhibition (Emaar 4), Damascus Chamber of Industry and the General Organization for Free Zones in Syria held on Saturday an economic meeting, which brought together Syrian and Iranian industrialists and businessmen.

President of Damascus Chamber of Industry Samer Al-Debs underlined that the forum aims to achieve maximum economic and investment cooperation between businessmen in Syria and Iran to establish productive and trade partnerships in all sectors and encourage Iranian companies to contribute to the process of construction and reconstruction.

Mr. Al -Debs pointed out that in the next few days a conference will be held in Tehran for Iranian businessmen to identify the Syrian investment projects in the two countries and exchange experiences and address the existing problems.

For his part, the Iranian ambassador in Damascus, Jawad Turk Abadi, confirmed the need to strengthen and build cooperation relations with Syria, especially as it is coming to the phase of reconstruction.

The Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Investors in Free Zones, Fahd Darwish, pointed out that the prospects for investment are open to the Iranian economic activities, thus contributing to increasing the size of the gross output, increasing the national income and ease of transport of goods between the two countries.
