Foreign Companies’ participation in DIF Reflects Syria’s Promising Investment Future

 Damascus-The Damascus International Fair in its sixtieth edition witnessed a wide international participation and a distinguished economic presence of foreign companies working in various fields and aspiring to enter the promising Syrian investment, economic and trade market.

 The President of the Chamber of Commerce of Abkhazia, Tamila Mertscholava, stressed to SANA the importance of his country’s participation in the exhibition, which is an important economic event.

 The representative of the Chamber of Industry and Trade of Abkhazia in Syria, Nizar al-Jabban pointed out that the Republic of Abkhazia is looking to expand participation in the future, noting that the Fair is a window to the world that reflects the image of the bright Syria.

 The Indian section official Abdul Rahman al-Tamari said there are 20 Indian companies taking part in the Fair, including in the domains of cables, transformers, cutouts and stainless-steel tools, as well as food products such as rice and sesame.

 Mr. Al-Tamari said that the Syrian market has become attractive to investors and businessmen. The Fair also represents an opportunity to hold meetings and sign deals to serve the economic cooperation between the two countries and contributes to the reconstruction process of Syria.

 The Belarusian “Sohara” Company, Represented by Nizar Abdo, referred that the company aims to participate in the reconstruction process and provide the needs of the Syrian market in various fields. He pointed out that the company plans to establish a tourist cars company with competitive specifications and which is able to prove itself In the Syrian market.

 Regarding the Belarusian participation Dr. Qutaiba Hassan of the Syrian-Belarusian Business Council explained that it is distributed among medicines, foodstuffs, chemicals and building materials, stressing the importance of the Syrian market and its future in the light of the reconstruction and construction process, which constitute a great opportunity for work and investment, especially after Syria proved its power as an independent state.
