Ansarullah: US not willing to end war in Yemen

Tehran – The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah Movement said Washington is not willing to end war in Yemen due to its economic benefits for the US.

According to Yemeni TV Channel ‘Al-Masirah’, Abdol Malek Badreddine al-Houthi said US is taking advantage of war in Yemen both politically and economically.

He made the remarks while referring to the efforts made by the Saudi-US coalition to prevent an Ansarullah delegation from travelling to Geneva, Switzerland, for a peace talks which held on September 8, IRNA reported.

The talks failed to be held on Saturday after three days of waiting for the Ansarullah delegation.

Commenting on the Geneva peace talks, Badreddine al-Houthi said even US is not optimistic about these talks.

he added US is after reinforcing its hegemony in the region and they earn money from the war.

There is no justification for preventing the negotiating delegation from traveling to Geneva since they call for attending Geneva talks to safeguard Sanaa, he noted.

Referring to the first round of Geneva talks, he said aggressors did not allow Yemeni delegation to return to Sanaa and it happened only when Ansarullah released a number of US spies who were arrested by security forces.

We will have no problem if China, Russia or even Kuwait take responsibility on safeguarding security of the Yemeni delegation, al-Houthi reiterated.

Yemen’s Foreign Ministry in an earlier statement had announced that the Saudi-led coalition prevents Ansarullah delegation from participating in the Geneva talks in Switzerland.

The Saudi-led aggression coalition forces are putting obstacles to prevent the national delegation from participating in the Geneva consultations, according to a report by Yemeni News Agency, Saba.

“We were surprised by the obstacles placed by the aggression forces through not granting a license to operate an Omani plane – as the safe and usual means to transfer our national delegation”, Saba quoted the Foreign Ministry as saying.

Saudi Arabia and its regional allies attacked Yemen in March 2015 to bring back to power the deposed president of Yemen Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi.

The invaders have committed horrible war crimes against Yemeni civilians during the past three years.
