Syrian Army, Allies Have Defeated Terrorism in Most Syrian Areas

ALEPPO, (ST)- US Senator Richard Black has stressed that the Syrian Arab Army and its allies have managed to defeat terrorism in most Syrian areas with only the terrorists in Idleb, who are taking civilians as human shields, remaining.

Following a tour in several areas liberated by the Syrian Arab army from terrorism in Aleppo, Black told journalists that the Syrian army seeks protecting civilians through opening safe corridors to evacuate them from the terrorist-held areas.  He pointed out that the United States has been waging  a “war on terrorism” for more than 17 years, but the result of this war has so-far brought nothing.

He pointed out that the terrorists have destroyed the civilizational historical monuments which the Syrians have protected and maintained over tens of thousands of years through their coexistence.  He stressed that the Syrians bravely defended themselves against the war imposed on them and against the terrorists who have destroyed mosques, churches and schools, killed civilians and opened salve markets to sell women.

He made it clear that today the Syrian army is waging the war of civilization against barbarism and that Syria will rise again by the efforts of its people.

Within his tour in Aleppo, Black visited the Ummayad Mosque, churches and several markets and some military points at the line of confrontation with the terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra. He saw the huge destruction caused to these places because of terrorism.
