West Should Acknowledge Its Schemes in Syria Have Failed: Czech Professor

PRAGUE, (ST)- The victories being achieved by the Syrian Arab army over terrorism open the way for starting a new era in Syria, Czech Professor (Oskar Kritchi) has stressed, urging the European countries to lift the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on the Syrian people.

In a statement to the “Parliamentary Papers” website, the Czech professor said “the European countries are now before two options: either to help in reconstructing Syria or to continue supporting terrorism to further destroy the country.”

The West should acknowledge that its plans in Syria have failed, he added.

He pointed out that the United States is practicing a destructive policy in Syria and it is not aiming to fighting Daesh terrorist organization as it always claims.

He made it clear that the US forces presence in Syria is illegal and it violates international law, affirming that Washington also impedes the process of reconstructing the areas it has destroyed by its random shelling, like what happened in city of Raqqa and its surrounding, a destruction that the western media completely ignores.
