Syria, Abkhazia Discuss Means of Enhancing Economic Cooperation

Damascus-The Chairman of the International Planning and Cooperation Commission, Dr. Imad Sabouni met here on Thursday the Envoy of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia, (Bartsets Konstantinovich), the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia Daur Kove and members of the accompanying delegation. The two sides discussed ways strengthening ties of cooperation between the two countries to the benefit of the common interest.

 The two sides discussed ways of enhancing cooperation relations and the possibility of signing constituent agreements to form a joint ministerial committee between the two countries during the next phase, which will frame the bilateral cooperation relations in various fields and ensure the implementation of what is agreed on between the government bodies in both countries in the future.

The two sides also discussed the importance of participation of Abkhazian companies in the sixtieth session of the Damascus International Fair which will be held next September in addition to what contributes to strengthening economic cooperation relations between the two countries.
