DAMASCUS- The Director of the General Organization for Exhibitions Fares Kortalli said that the 60thsession of the Damascus International Fair will witness this year a notable sign in the number of international participations and the diversity of sectors and exhibits. The number of countries that have confirmed their participation is 46 Arab and foreign countries.

The exhibition city includes 6 large international pavilions, 8 international pavilions, 4 small national pavilions, a Syrian national pavilion, a market for sale, a handicraft market and service pavilions with outdoor open spaces.

Concerning the measures taken to ease the overcrowding and facilitate the entry of visitors, Mr. Kortalli explained in a statement to SANA that 11 doors were allocated to enter instead of 3 doors were approved last year’s session, pointing out that the sale of entry tickets to the exhibition will be in Damascus at places to be determined later in order to prevent congestion and stampede at the entry gates, referring to the allocation of an area of 33 thousand square meters as a garage for public vehicles.

The Damascus International Fair will open its sixtieth session this year on September 6 through 15 in the exhibition city on the international airport road.
