Conference of Businessmen and Investors in Syria and the World to be Held Soon

Damascus- The Director General of the Syrian Investment Authority Madyan Diab said that the Conference of Businessmen and Investors in Syria and the World 2018 will be held on July 26- 28 at the Conference Palace at the Damascus Fairgrounds.

Mr. Diab confirmed, during a press conference held in cooperation with the International Investment Company on Saturday, the readiness of the Authority to provide all services and facilities to investors and answer their questions and simplify the procedures for the establishment of their projects.

He pointed out that the conference comes in response to the efforts of the government to attract local and foreign capital to establish investment projects that serve the construction and development process in the reconstruction phase and is a platform to highlight investment opportunities and respond to the wishes of investors to invest in new projects.

In response to a question from the correspondence of SANA about the troubled investment projects, Mr. Diab explained that the Authority has developed a new mechanism to deal with stalled or faltering investment project whereas the role of the Authority is limited to being a mediator between the owner and the new financier.

For his part, Director of the International Investment Company said that the conference will be the largest conference in the Middle East and will see the largest presence of businessmen from Europe, America and Asia since the beginning of the crisis, pointing out that about 150 businessmen from Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, Britain, Czech, Cyprus, Japan and Venezuela America, Russia, Iran and Arab countries will participate in this event.
